Scope
RC Structures · Setting Out · QA · Utilities · S278 Works

The project involved construction of the reinforced concrete substructure and steel frame for the Travel Hub, together with extensive external infrastructure, drainage, utilities and highway works within the operational Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The Travel Hub forms part of the wider infrastructure supporting AstraZeneca’s Cambridge development.

Engineering from piling to structural completion

Site engineering was managed from the piling stage through the reinforced concrete works and into structural completion. This included setting out and dimensional control for pile caps, ground beams, slabs, cores and associated structural elements, coordinating the engineering requirements as the structure progressed.

Quality control and handover

A comprehensive QA process was maintained throughout construction, with inspections, surveys and as-built information used to demonstrate compliance with the design and provide the documentation required for approval and handover to Mace.

Delivered under our former company name, D.S.W Civil Engineering Ltd.
