Coventry A45 Eastern Green Overbridge
Appointed by our valued client Breheny Civil Engineering, director Dan Williams led the engineering on the project involving 3km of fully serviced spine roads, three roundabouts, three culverts and an integral bridge over the A45.
The project was delivered successfully, the highlight being a seamless bridge deck lift with a 550T crane.
Infratek Ltd carried out all the engineering checks leading up to the lift alongside coordinating the piling mat construction for the crane, setting out the beam positions, levelling the shims and setting out the crane position.
F1 Wind Tunnel
Appointed by SDC to manage quality during the construction of a new wind tunnel for a well known F1 team. This complex infrastructure involved stringent rebar checking requirements in a concrete structure with <3mm tolerance embedded steel plates.
Director, Dan Williams controlled the engineering on site on this successful one-in-a-lifetime project. He produced pre-pour drawings for rebar and all cast-in items, presented to the client to provide confidence everything was correct before each pour. He also produced as-built cross-sections derived from a coordinated 3D scan of the internal structure at handover for the wind tunnel assemblers.
The project was handed over correct, to spec and 5 weeks ahead of programme.
